New Item:

The Anacortes Arts Festival is adding a new event this year.
It's the first Anacortes Arts Festival Regatta.
We would like to have a link added to the NWMA info site
and we would like to have all our multihull friends come up and play.
More info can be found at www.anacortesartsfestival.com .

Let us know if you need any more info about this.

Year 2003 Schedule

Unorganized and submitted by Harry the Yank who will continually try to update the screwups.

June 1 - Gig Harbor Gemini cat owners are meeting in Gig Harbor.  Tri's are welcome too.

July 3 - Fireworks  in Liberty Bay, Poulsbo
We need to remove the July 3 info about Geoffry Strange hosting the fireworks in Poulsbo. He is heading to Belize on Wednesday and other relatives or guests may be at his house. I talked to him yesterday and he regrets the change of plans.
-Greg Jacobs
.

July 4 - Fireworks in Elliot Bay, Seattle

July 12 - 13 - Hogshead Regatta at Sucia

Hog's Head: Sucia Island; At least 5 tent sites are available for camping plus we have the shelter. Should be a great time as usual. Do not miss this once a year extravaganza. Bring something for the potluck. Dead pig will be supplied.

Aug. 9 - 10 - Tri Dyes Multihull Messabout

Come on over on to the Kitsap Peninsula for a rendezvous at Greg Jacobs’ house on the northeast side of Dyes Inlet. Sail or trailer over to the Tri Dyes Multihull Mess-about.  No boat? . . . No problem! We have extras!

We want to sail all day Saturday then have dinner.  The best winds tend to be in the late afternoon and evening so we should take advantage of the evening breeze. Minus 2' tides are between 10 and 11 AM so plan your launch or cruise accordingly.   Saturday evening after sailing we will B-B-Q.  Greg and Donna will provide a gas grill, hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, and soda for dinner Saturday night. If you need more appealing sustenance, bring your own grillables, salads and/or beverages.

Dyes Inlet is approximately 1 or 2 miles wide by 3 to 5 miles long (N to S) and connects to Puget Sound just east of Bremerton via the Port Washington Narrows. We will be at the north end of the bay so currents are minimal. For the bigger boats; the anchoring is good in front of my house (exposed to chop on a strong southerly) or tie up at the Port of Silverdale dock 3/4 mile across the bay to the west. We have a little house but a big yard, a big bay, and a big beach when the tide is out. Bring your trailerable and off the beach day sailors, sailboards, monohulls, canoes and kayaks to join in the fun.

The wide Port of Silverdale launch ramp and dock should accommodate most multihulls. The beach is pea gravel, cobble, barnacles, and shells so bring a piece of carpet or plywood if your bottoms are sensitive to abrasion.

Contact Greg Jacobs to RSVP and receive directions for this fabulous event!

Aug. 23 - 24 - Port Ludlow Bay Marina

You need to call 1-800-308-7991 and leave a credit card # to reserve a spot at the dock. Tell them you’re with NWMA. Do it sooner than later. You can always cancel if something comes up. This years Rendezvous is sponsored by Multihulls NW who will buy us breakfast on Sunday morning. We also have the BBQ area and a gas BBQ reserved. Bring something to cook for Sat night. Lots of stuff is available in the marina store.

May 19 - Pt. Browning, BC annual spring get together of mulithulls north of the border.
