Member Focus - Tamerlane

| "Tamerlane" is a Stiletto 30 that was
originally built in 1985. I got her last September and have put in about 600 man hours of
my own, not to mention work by CSR Marine and Emerald City Marine Electronics to
extensively modify her. She has been lightened, updated, faired, painted, re-rigged and
extensively upgraded to make her even better than she was. The 30 is a Wormwood design,
this one being one of the few that was built with daggerboards instead of centerboards. It
is still a work in progress but has many unique features including an electronic system
that senses mast rotation and compensates for it so that the instruments can supply such
information as true or apparent wind speed and direction relative to the boat, not the
mast. |
